Pandoro or other sweet leftovers?

If you prepare the Torta Diplomatica and have some sponge and puff pastry leftovers then you can try the following pudding. Alternatively you can use some pandoro instead of the sponge cake.

Take large glasses or bowls and put a thick slice of sponge or pandoro at the bottom. Moisten the pandoro with some liqueur and top with a couple of fresh strawberries. Pour some custard cream — you can try the home-made custard recipe if you have some spare time or you can use the ready made one.

Otherwise, you can also use the crema pasticcera prepared for the Diplomatica. Throw in some more strawberries and finish off with strips of puff pastry.
