Legs numb, feet burnt out, itchy mosquito bites, and kitchen clutter. These are the physical feelings of the morning after the Malta Artisan Fair, held at the Macina in Senglea yesterday, and organised by the team at restaurantsMalta. On the other pan of the weighing scales, there are the mental sensations: satisfaction, pride, assessment and evaluation.

It was, overall, a pleasure participating in the Malta Artisan Fair with the products prepared by Katy in the kitchen. This opportunity helped us promote the concept of Eatmania and we also managed to sell a goodish selection of jams and chutneys prepared by Mum. To the delight of the sweet toothed we also had a peach & almond crumble, a cinnamon, lemon and peach jam tart, and a Maltese traditional pudina prepared with fresh peaches. These sold well at our stand and were all freshly baked by Mum first thing on Saturday morning using fresh, local peaches. We also promoted the Maltese ftira with a home-made caponata using fresh and local vegetables, namely aubergines, yellow & green peppers, onions and tomatoes.
