2020 Craft Beer ‘Crushie’ Marketing Award Winners Announced
COVID-19 may have canceled the Craft Brewers Conference but that didn’t stop the Craft Beer Marketing Awards (CBMA) from taking place. The prestigious award had its inaugural ceremony as a live virtual event. It streamed on both Zoom and Facebook to thousands of excited hopefuls.
What makes the CBMA unique is that while the beer industry has many competitions and awards already, these awards honor people behind the scenes. Often, when enthusiasts think of their favorite craft beer they think of the master brewers that painstakingly and lovingly brew the beverage that has earned their respect and wallet.
From design to strategy, a lot goes into making sure the beer gets the proper exposure it needs to let the carbonated treasure inside really shine. Maybe you found your favorite brewery through an online campaign or a can design caught your eye at your local retailer, you have the tirelessly working marketing team to thank.
The CBMA started accepting entries back in 2019 and almost every state pushed local breweries. Entries from Canada and Mexico were also included.
Marketing professionals and breweries won awards in 32 categories judged by a panel of over 100 heavyweights in the industry. Judges put forth the best options for each category and social media decided the ultimate winner of each category. These awards are very much the recognition of not only industry peers but also of the enthusiasts and fans that dedicate so much of their lives to this passion.
