How cutting down sugar affects your body

Over 80% of all packaged food contains sugar! A research done by Harvard School of Public Health has found a positive correlation between the consumption of added sugar and an increased risk of dying with heart attack even if you aren’t overweight.

There is a persistent trend in the consumption of processed foods globally. Thanks to them most of us swimming in sugary diet all day. Here are a few of the positive effects after quitting sugar for those who might be hooked to the habit.

Health Effect #1: You Feel Better Than You Look
Sugar consumption has been link by to depressions and stress. Some mental illnesses like schizophrenia have also been linked to high sugar levels in the body. Sugar has been known to inhibit certain vital growth hormones which are linked to mental illness. Basically, if you want to feel happier, healthier and in good moods, cut down the sugar intake.

Health Effect #2: No More Drop-offs
It’s undebatable that sugar gives an accelerated energy boost. However, the same energy is also drained as quickly, leaving you exhausted, cranky and wanting more of the sugar. The body is in constant high and low energy levels which leaves a person fighting to stay awake. Just cut down the sugar and the slumps will be gone.

Health Effect #3: Sleep Better Than You Did in Childhood
Issues pertaining blood sugar are ranked second in as the contributing causes of insomnia. Dumping sugary foods, particularly before going to sleep, means avoiding the kind of blood sugar elevation that restrains you from sleeping all night. You don’t have to take a snack before bed.

Health Effect #4: Reduced Risks of Diseases
Poor diet that is high in sugar is one known causes of irregular brain functions that causes the brain to trigger responses related to inflammation. Many diseases like allergies, heart diseases, and asthma are mostly caused by these chronic inflammations in the body. Cutting down sugar intake greatly abbreviates inflammatory responses in the body thus reduces the risk of these illnesses.

So next time if you’re going to have something sweet, go for a fruit-based dessert!
