KR Partners launches ‘G-Billing Solution’
with its Registered Technology Patent
When allocating guest rooms and charging fees for the use of various facilities, the hotel industry often uses an operational management system known as the Property Management System (PMS).
However, there were some issues that have been raised as a result of using this system. For one, when a payment is made through PMS, the customer’s card information is stored in the system. In addition, the payment module has to be added when introducing PMS, which is not only cumbersome, but costly as well.
In response to this, KRP recently patented new technologies that would solve these underlying issues. Junhun Kim, CEO of KRP, explained what this would mean for the hotel industry. “We will be able to reduce system administration costs and improve the security of payment management in the hotel industry.”
A Patent to Introduce a Safer and More Effective Method
With the new patented technology from KRP, hotels are able to use a separate credit check terminal at a much more affordable cost. This means that customers do not have to worry about needlessly exposing their personal information since they would be using their virtual card number instead of an actual credit card.
The use of virtual card numbers are much safer as they are transmitted over physical lines as opposed to the Internet. This reduces many risks — such as network hacking, keyboard hooking, and direct credit card input, just to name a few.
Speaking of its achievement, KRP stated, “This patent is classified in the top 9.9%, which places it in the AA grade. Thanks to the broad scope and stability of the technology, it has been recognized for its superiority by the Patent Office.”
Launch of G-Billing Solution
In 2016, KRP finally launched G-Billing Solution, a global card buying agency that put this new patented technology to use. The G-Billing solution is a one-stop service that enables everything from approval, dialogue and purchase to complete the transaction with one simple step. This solution has already been introduced to many successful hotel chains, including the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul, the IBIS Ambassador in Suwon and Dongdaemun, and the Sheraton Dive City hotel in Seoul.
Regarding the success of the new partnership, Kim Joonhun commented, “There is a high level of satisfaction among merchants using the G-Billing Solution. Previously, there was no other alternative so they were forced to use the expensive PMS solution in the hotel industry. Now it has become possible to operate and manage the hotel in a much more safer and effective way with the advent of this patented technology.”
