Casso — “Chosen One” Freestyle

After dropping one of our favorite Boston projects of the year Days Before The ROC last year, Casso remained relatively quiet with the exception of his visual for “I Am The Connect”. But with 2016 underway, it seems that he is ready to unleash the music he has been sitting on and the first offering we have received is “Chosen One”, a freestyle that is a preview of what to expect on his upcoming Blackout Season project with DJ Papadon.

Rocking over a beat previously used by Mano Spaulding, Casso finds himself in an aggressive mode as he describes what he’s been going through in recent months and the attitude he has instilled to help him make bigger moves this year. The production is well-suited for Casso’s delivery and while we hope to hear him over original music in the coming months, it will be interesting to hear the approach Casso takes in marking his return over a selection of beats that Boston fans are likely to be familiar with.
