Esh & Arc- “Animal Farm”

The musical chemistry between Esh The Monolith and The Arcitype has been known for quite some time and the two recently reminded us of it when they released the music video for “Live It Up” (ft. Dua of Bad Rabbits), the first single off their upcoming album Death Doesn’t Want You. As a follow-up to the track, the duo decided to provide fans with a holiday gift by dropping a freebie single titled “Animal Farm”, a result of Esh and Arc paying a visit to Converse’s Rubber Tracks recording studio.

With George Orwell’s book of the same title in mind, Esh pens his verses with animal imagery and he provides sharp-witted social commentary while staying devoted to the concept of the song. Behind the boards, Arc creates a dark soundscape appropriate for a dreary farmland and the sound-effects of the animals that Esh mentions in his lyrics are a nice touch, adding to the completeness of the record. So while “Animal Farm” may not live on the duo’s upcoming album, the promotional single is a solid addition to their growing catalog together.
