wu-tang clan, a better tomorrow

The Wu-Tang Clan are finally ready to release their long-awaited 20 year anniversary reunion album A Better Tomorrow, and after a string of singles we have received the title track off the LP. “A Better Tomorrow” sounds like a victory lap for the acclaimed group as RZA comes through with a soulful, feel-good record (powered by a fitting Harold Melvin sample) for his Wu brothers to rock over. From Method Man killing the piano-based intro to Raekwon spitting a verse that is more appropriate than ever after the verdict result in Ferguson this week, this is a classic ‘Wu-Tang is for the children’ kind of record. While the reception to the more recent work of RZA has been mixed, this track is one where we feel he nailed it in terms of executing his vision of a modernized Wu-Tang sound. Check out “A Better Tomorrow” below and be on the look for the album when it officially drops next Tuesday.
