Finding thought leaders on social media platforms might seem easy but, combing through all those self-proclaimed leaders can be tiresome. Especially on platforms such as Linkedin, Instagram, and Twitter. If you have read my previous article about thought leaders and you are interested. Here are a few ways I found to be effective in finding true leaders:

  • Looking up thought leaders in a specific field on search engines.
  • Choosing thought leaders from the yearly lists sites and magazines publish.
  • Finding one thought leader that you trust and asking for recommendations.
  • Looking up respected figures in different communities.

There are many more ways you could find different thought leaders. So please let me know in the response section if you have a more efficient way of identifying them. We look at TLs as gold mines for future opportunities and change. I will go through each one and give a brief explanation on how to do it and why I picked them. We don’t base thought leaders on the basis of the number of followers or media attention, but we base it on their potential impact within/on society.
