echo3D is the go-to 3D digital asset management and file hosting platform. You can store, manage, edit and customize 3D content in the cloud. Imagine that all your assets are stored in one central repository. That’s echo3D.

  • Metadata: Often times, developers will use this in 3D asset management to control rotation, transform, name, scale and so many more. The option for metadata gets baked within each model and is stored no matter what device it is deployed on.

Fun fact: echo3D has the option to add project-wide global data to streamline updating common data fields.

To make this even easier with multiple fields of metadata, it’s possible to upload a .csv file of metadata fields.

echo3D offers in-browser tooling to help you modify 3D models on the fly. Here are some of them.

  • Model Editor: On this page, you can view 3D models, edit their textures, color, lighting settings, and other attributes, add annotations, and export them to your project.

You can export the result by clicking any of the Export buttons:

  • Export GLB downloads the model as a file to local storage.
  • Export to Console adds the model to your project.
  • Export Zip downloads the model as a compressed file to local storage.
  • Scene Editor: This tool allows you to create 3D scenes, transform 3D models, merge 3D models, import scenes to the console and more.

In addition to adding primitive shapes, and working in flexible 360 views, you can also modify light sources. When finished, the finished scene can be exported directly into the echo3D console or be downloaded.

  1. Models: .obj, .stl, .fbx, .glTf, .glb, .usdz, .dae, .zip
  2. Videos: .mp4, .mov
  3. Images: .png, .jpg, .gif, .svg

Note: Maximum allowed file size is 25MB for the free plan and unlimited for paid plans.

Deliver

3D models are the building blocks for any 3D experience so it’s important that content delivery is seamless, fast and scalable. echo3D offers lightning fast 3D streaming with servers around the world. User data and valuable insights are also provided to track how your projects are being used.

  • Dynamic Setup: Automatically set up and stream 3D content from the right server, based on your user’s location and your content’s geo-tagging.
  • Faster Delivery: Load 3D content quickly from the closest server available, with a global delivery network optimized for 3D content.
  • Optimized Stream: Improve load speed and reliability by automatically picking the right 3D output format, reducing the file size, and caching near your users.
  • Users: Learn how users interact with your app and engage them with the 3D content they want.
  • Insights: This feature allows you to see when your 3D holograms were accessed or used through time. It also shows when they were created and last accessed with segmented timeline options.

The Insights page also includes a Project History section that shows changes with entries, users, access privileges and security.
