How to Use echo3D Extension in NVIDIA Omniverse
Following the announcement of echo3D officially partnering with NVIDIA Omniverse, the echo3D extension is live! echo3D is a cloud platform for 3D asset management that helps developers and companies build and deploy 3D apps at scale.
In this demo, we show you how to set echo3D up in the Omniverse.

Setup
Don’t have an API key? Make sure to register for FREE at echo3D.
Install the NVIDIA Omniverse Launcher here by clicking “Get Started”.
Steps
- Add any models to the echo3D console that you like.
- In the Omniverse Launcher, download ‘Code’ from Library and launch it
- Download the echo3D Extension zip and add the unzipped subfolder ‘echo3d.search’ to your computer path %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Kit\shared\exts\
- In the Launcher, search for ‘echo3D’ in the Extension tab and look for the result under ‘Third Party’. Enable the toggle.
- Add the API key and security key from the echo3D console.
The API key is at the top of the page.
The security key is under Settings > Security
- The assets will load as you click on them!
