Gabe has been singing since he was 16 and already has some experience in music. He was back-vocal for the Portuguese singer Virgul and the Angolan superstar Anselmo Ralph and, more recently, participated in the TV show The Voice Portugal. Now, at the age of 24, the singer took the first step of his solo career with the release of his first single "Insomnia".

Written by the singer and produced by the Portuguese DJ Von Di, “Insomnia” is a warm R&B, which according to Gabe, “even though insomnia is the state we are in at night, unable to sleep, the song talks about the opposite. It is a song that celebrates life ”.

"It’s about not being anxious about tomorrow and being aware of the good things we have in life," he mentioned.

Despite being in constant search for his musical identity, Gabe finds himself in R&B. He grew up listening to Gospel and Bossa Nova but looks at Beyoncé, SZA, The Weekend, and Frank Ocean as some of his musical inspirations.

Being part of a Brazilian family, Gabe says that “it is important to have diversity in the music industry, as well as in the world around us”. He considers himself a contemporary artist who sings what he feels with honesty and vulnerability. He is not afraid to leave his comfort zone and believes that “more and more, it is important to give a voice to artists who are a real reflection of the society we live in”

Gabe has no plans to release his first album yet. However, a new song will be released later this year. For now, his objective is to continue to create music without limits and to share his messages with anyone who wants to hear him.
