Unbridled industrialization, ocean pollution, use of plastic and dependence of natural resources like fossil flues and carbon are some of the factors that are causing massive damage on the earth. Also, resultant changes like climate change have brought flooding, droughts, storm, wildfires and other disasters. However, there has been a temporary relief due to lockdown considering COVID pandemic, once the normal human life starts, everything will back to where one started.

So, how could we save our environment in the long term? Here are the few steps you can take in everyday life that can help you in giving relief to the earth that we have put on.

  1. When you leave the room, turn off the lights. It would be great if you use natural light during the day.
  2. Use the recycle bin whenever possible.
  3. Do sustainable gardening at home.
  4. Take a shorter shower.
  5. Buy locally grown produce.
  6. Unplug appliances before heading to a bed that draw phantom power.
  7. Purchase only need-based items.
  8. Do ethical shopping.
  9. Plant a tree every month.
  10. Purchase items from the thrift stores.
  11. Always carry a reusable bag when going for grocery shopping.
  12. Use water resources wisely.
  13. Don’t bring home anything that doesn’t have a purpose.
  14. Eat leftover food.
  15. Limit Trash one bag per week.
