1. Value-Based Optimization (VBO) feature

Audience: Game/App Advertisers on Android OS & Website Ads

Status: Full launch for Android App and Beta (Whitelist) for Web Advertisers

Let’s learn more about this feature:

  • Value-Based Optimization / VBO is a feature that allows optimizing ads to users who bring the highest purchase value (purchase value), with the aim of maximizing revenue.
  • Android Mobile Apps advertisers will be able to optimally select “Value” in “Ad group” when the following conditions are satisfied:

- Set up MMP (Mobile Measurement Partner — App Flyers / Adjust..) and send the “Purchase” event to TikTok Ad Manager with revenue parameters.

- VBO feature will be unlocked permanently once 30 “Purchase” events have been collected within 7 days

  • Website advertisers need to meet the following conditions to be Whitelisted:

- Install Developer Pixel on the website and send “Value” to Tiktok Ad Manager

- Account has at least 30 purchase conversions (Purchase) in the last 7 days.

  • There are 2 forms of bidding when choosing the optimal value for Value:

- Highest Value: The system will optimize ads to users who bring the highest value based on a daily budget

- minROAS: Optimizing ads to users that bring the highest value with minimum ROAS.

2. Gift Code Card now appears in a new form — Gift Code Sticker

Audience: All advertising accounts have been whitelisted to use Gift Code Cards

Status: Completed and officially released

More about this feature:

  • To improve the user experience and make the Gift Code Card feature more attractive, TikTok has changed the Gift Code Card to the Sticker format with a new name called: Gift Code Sticker (as shown in the picture).
  • When the user clicks on the Gift Code Sticker, the system will lead the user directly to the landing page, the code will be automatically copied when the user clicks on the Gift Code Sticker.
  • Now it can be set up with Spark Ad without whitelist registration. However, advertisers still need to register for a whitelist to use the Gift Code Sticker with the TikTok team.
  • Running campaigns, still using Gift Code Cards, will not be affected by this change
