April began with one of the most entertaining drops- the truly Invisible Woman- for some April Fools fun! We also relocated the VeVe blog and updated the MCP documents, optimized KYC and search features in the app, dropped the first appearance of Iron Man in Marvel Digital Comics — Tales of Suspense #39, and a whole lot more!

Relocating the VeVe Blog

From our earliest days, VeVe has used the Medium blog to share drop info, feature updates, and more. While we love the simplicity and easy readability of Medium, we’ve made the decision to enhance the overall VeVe experience by moving all future articles to the all-new VeVe Blog!

On the new blog, expect to find all the same drop details you’ve grown accustomed to, but in a style and format more consistent with our brand. We’ll also be increasing our output of informative and useful articles to help guide you through your digital collectible journey, such as the VeVe 101 section, so be sure to bookmark the blog and stay tuned for more…

VeVe Master Collector Program

The MCP is a loyalty program designed to reward VeVe Collectors. With the MCP, you can level up by being an active VeVe Collector and completing objectives, all while gaining benefits in your quest to reach the highest level of Master Collector.

The first phase of the VeVe Master Collector Program (MCP) has been progressively rolling out on the VeVe app in Q2, giving insight into your current collector Level, Daily Points Accumulation, and your Rank relative to other collectors. Alongside this feature rollout, we also released some updates and revisions to the MCP documentation, which you can now find on the new VeVe blog.

These articles properly introduce VeVe Collector Levels and Ranks, provide additional information on how to earn Points, as well as insights into their future uses within the app.

As the program expands it will also incorporate ways to supercharge your Points earned by using OMI tokens and give VeVe Collectors a number of ways to spend their Points for in-app perks, items, and benefits.

VeVe Drops

We have a habit of celebrating particular calendar days on VeVe, and in April two special releases hit the platform, one to celebrate April 1st with Marvel, and the other to celebrate Earth Day with USPS (April 22).

Other notable digital collectible releases in April include:

Patrick Hughes — Reverspective Art Series 2

Three pieces of reverspective art: House of Cards (2019) Lunar Robot (2020) and Robotics (2021) were also released in April in Patrick Hughes’ second series release for VeVe.

This drop also offered collectors an incredible opportunity to win a signed and numbered physical ‘Robotic’ 3D Reversepective artwork by Patrick Hughes! 🎁

To enter, all you needed to do was use the AR function in the VeVe app, take a photo or video that showcases a Patrick Hughes Series 2 digital collectible from your collection, and post it on Twitter or your Instagram feed using the hashtag #HughesxVeVe. Entries are now closed, and a huge congratulations go to whoever is lucky enough to take home this prize!

Owners of Ubisoft Rabbids collectibles also had some fun in April, with a number of prizes being awarded in the Rabbids AR comp. If you don’t follow VeVe on socials be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out on the next one!

Comic collectors were also rewarded in April with Marvel Digital Comics — Tales of Suspense #39- which offered collectors a chance to own the first appearance of Iron Man!

Similarly, we saw the first appearance of the most powerful artifact in the universe (The Infinity Gauntlet) in Marvel Digital Comics — Silver Surfer (1987) #44.

This timely release was also a precursor to the introduction of burning and crafting capabilities on VeVe, which is now available for all users.
