June was an absolutely MEGA month with first appearance collectibles, Frank Kozik, Ron English, the first NFT’s from Givenchy, announcing Marvel, AMA’s, giveaways and more interviews than you can shake a stick at! If you managed to blink at all during the month it’s likely you missed something, so we’re wrapping it all up here!
Social Growth
It’s hard to believe that we only eclipsed 100k followers on ECOMI Twitter at the start of June, and the family certainly hasn’t stopped growing since. More than 5000 people have joined us on this journey throughout the month, from 8.62 million impressions and 724,000 profile visits.
The growth of the VeVe community has been just as exceptional, with more than 3000 new followers on the VeVe Twitter page, 721,000 profile visits and more than 6.5 million impressions. Things are heating up for the VeVe Instagram account too, with almost 20,000 followers! If you don’t follow it already please head there now and show your support 💪
VeVe Artists + VeVe Collectible Releases
June also saw the introduction and first release of two world-renowned artists on the platform. Kicking off with series 1 of Ron English’s Cereal Killers on June 10, and more recently Frank Kozik’s Labbits series 1 on July 1.

Prior to Franks release our community also had an incredible opportunity to get to know him in a Clubhouse event, thanks to the VeVe Collectors Chat. The VeVe co-founders also joined with a few other special guests, and you can catch up on it all in this stream thanks to Cavell!
If you’re new to the clubhouse app you can join the fam in the VeVe Collectors room, powered by VeVeWiki! Frank can often be found in this room and others, and truly enjoys getting to know our community, so be sure to follow him if you want to join the conversation.
The First Appearance collectibles weren’t limited to these amazing artists, however, with June also serving up the most iconic superhero of our time-Superman- and the first-ever NFT release from Givenchy Beauty.
The Givenchy drop was not only in celebration of Pride Month but all of the proceeds from the sale of Pride- a work commissioned by the luxury fashion house in collaboration with the Rewind Collective- were donated to Le Mag Jeunes.
MAG is a movement for the Assertion of Young Gay, Lesbian, Bi & Trans people, which focuses on support and awareness-raising missions in schools, offering cultural, sporting and educational activities, and lobbies international institutions to promote the implementation of more inclusive public policies. 🏳️🌈

Haven’t seen enough collectibles yet?! Well, we’re not done either! Superman wasn’t the only DC release in June, with the DC Bombshells series 2 also rolling out. This drop saw the first appearance of Death, and the incredibly detailed Harley Quinn Deluxe v2, both of which sold out in seconds and were delivered in minutes.

Earlier in June Co-founders David (CEO) and Dan (COO) also took on the opportunity to speak at the NFT summit, and Dan took the reins at Non-fungible Tokyo with a panel appearance and VeVe app demo. The Team Continues to Expand
In June we welcomed a number of new members to the team. Some of you will have already met Noah, our new social media whiz, and we’ll soon be introducing you to Alex- our new marketing director.
We have also welcomed two new web developers to the team, and will continue to update you on their progress with the VeVe web platform!
Giveaways and Promotions
In June we also kicked off some awesome community initiatives and giveaways, which have seen some incredible responses. To celebrate the 37th anniversary of Ghost Busters and the release of Slimer, we gave away 37 Slimer digital collectibles, and collected some hilarious Ghost Busters fan art and AR shots along the way!
This was followed by a celebration of our Immutable partnership, with another giveaway on Twitter which received 48,000 media views and almost 370,000 impressions!

Al Kahn and the Co-Founders
As if the Marvel news wasn’t enough to get your juices flowing, we also just released this incredible interview with Al Kahn and the VeVe co-founders, covering the journey so far and how the platform came to be, Al’s experience in the industry, and the team’s vision for the future. Move over Netflix, we have a new goal in town!
We’ll break this down in more detail in an upcoming article, but if you haven’t watched it yet, do yourself a massive favour, get some pop-corn, and strap in for the ride of your life 🚀
OMI Token Updates!
In June we saw unlocked a core component of the token system that underpins VeVe, as the first token buybacks took place. Combined with our burn system, the buybacks are designed to reduce the circulating supply of the token over time, and if you follow the ECOMI Whale Watcher on Twitter you’ll be able to see them returning to the in-app Reserve wallet.
Over the past 6 months, there have been a number of developments with the OMI token and VeVe’s tokenomic system. Whilst all of this information was publicly available, it was also spread out amongst a number of articles and AMA’s, and easy for new members of the family to miss.
So, we have re-compiled all of our most recent and relevant token information into one handy article! If you haven’t read it yet please do so that you have the latest information, and use this resource to introduce new members of the community to VeVe’s tokenomic system and the OMI token utility. We will continue to expand on the utility of the token, such as staking programs, as the year progresses.
In case you missed it: we have now permanently removed more than 7 BILLION OMI tokens from the total supply! 🔥🔥
New Developments
In the past month, we have seen a number of backend upgrades to the VeVe app, which continue to ensure the app is running as smoothly as possible. You may also remember earlier in the month we upgraded our render engine, which has improved the overall look and clarity of our collectibles.
Alongside this upgrade, a number of UI improvements are now available, including:
- Split your view between ‘Buy Now’ and ‘Auctions’ in the Market
- New ‘My Bids’ section added to Market headers
- Edition #’s now shown on Feed Market posts
- Sort by edition # is now available in the Market
With our re-factors now mostly complete, there is a wide range of new features and developments currently in the works, including:
- The migration to Immutable
- Accessories for the Showrooms (shelves, plinths, bases etc…)
- Cover photos for Showrooms
- The in-app video recording features so you can share your collections with the world
- Integrating the MTL so users can swap their Gems back into Fiat
- New features for our upcoming comic book releases
- Showroom V2!

Your submissions can cover anything to do with the community or company, and if you’re stuck for ideas just search the #VeVeMemeMasters tag on Twitter to check out some of the hilarious submissions so far.
If you’re really stuck for ideas superimposing Rhys or Trevor’s face onto things is also considered more than acceptable. Just make sure you’re picking the right team for the tournament (Team Rhys, clearly 😉).
The judges are going to have a hard time selecting from all of the incredible submissions, but we’ve pulled out a few examples that are sure to brighten your day! Be sure to go through that # if you want to see the video submissions and a whole lot more!

San Diego Comic-Con is on this month! This at-home/virtual event brings together the biggest names in entertainment and pop culture, and of course, VeVe will be releasing some exclusive collectibles to celebrate!
