March was a month of first appearances, with Rambo, Sesame Street and Ubisoft all releasing their first digital collectible NFTs on VeVe. Add to that the rollout of the public beta for MCP Points and Ranks phase 1, OMI utility in the Vemate application, and the first burn mechanic on the platform and it’s safe to say it was another big month around here!

VeVe Master Collector Program- Phase 1 Beta

The first phase of the VeVe Master Collector Program (MCP) rolled into beta in March, displaying a Collectors Points balance, Level, and Rank on the profile page.

In total there are 100 Levels, and 22 Ranks. VeVe Collectors can ascend through Levels depending on total Points earned, whilst Ranks are determined by the Daily Asset Points earned (collectibles/comics held), relative to other VeVe Collectors.

You will also notice how many points are needed to ascend to the next Level, and in future phases it is expected that a users Level and Rank will be visible anywhere their profile can be seen, such as on Market listings and in the Feed.

If you’re new to the MCP you can get the current details on the VeVe blog, including how to earn Points. Keep an eye on said posts and VeVe socials for updates and new earn mechanisms as the program expands.

OMI Token Utility on Vemate

Vemate has become a robust solution for VeVe collectors that are looking for more specialized tools and data points in their collecting journey. More recently the Vemate team has been building a web platform, which enables the next step for the project, and offers OMI token holders access to premium features and tools within the application.

To access this utility, and Vemate Premium, OMI token holders simply need to hold $200 worth of OMI tokens, and connect their wallet to the Vemate web app. Provided that you are holding the correct dollar value (or more) to access Premium, you will be granted access, and the value of your tokens will be recorded for future reference.

In the event that the value of your holdings drops below the $200 requirement, you will continue to have access to Premium, provided you do not withdraw/move those tokens. Your Premium access will undergo automatic validation every 12 hours, with no additional inputs from you.

Once connected you will also be able to see your token balances in the Vemate web app, and a confirmation that you have Premium access. Provided you do not withdraw your tokens you will continue to have access to Vemates Premium features, and users maintain full control (custody) of their tokens in their connected wallets.

If you haven’t tried it yet you can access Vemate’s web app here, or catch all of the details and instructions in our announcement post below:

Community Conversations

Every month you can catch the VeVe and ECOMI teams across socials and in various channels bringing you the latest info on our drops, product strategies, company direction and more. First up we saw Alex and Ryan join the NFT Pirates channel to discuss all things marketing and the wider VeVe Vision, which you can catch up on below:

In an interview a little closer to home for the ECOMI and VeVe CEO, David also joined Binance New Zealand to discuss the budding new world of licensed digital collectibles, and how VeVe has managed to carve out it’s own place in this new and exciting industry.

Capping off the month with a community update, Mitch, Alex and Rhys jumped into the VeVe Discord server to continue our regular update series, with the latest on development progress, and our current objectives for Q2.

If you’re already in the VeVe discord this link should take you straight to the recording, and if you haven’t joined the Fam on Discord yet you can get involved here. Highlights:

Q2 Objectives

In the most recent community update we also shared our primary development objectives for the second quarter of the year:

  • App consistency — ensuring the user experience is the same across mobile and web
  • Beginning development on OMI to NFT capabilities, allowing users to transact with OMI tokens in the VeVe Market ⭕️
  • Beginning development on MCP Point redemptions for “benefits,” the first of which will allow users to gain additional entries to VeVe Waitlist drops.

Moving forward, we will aim to release quarterly objectives to keep everyone in the loop on our current development priorities, as well as update you in our monthly updates as they progress.

It is important to note, however, that whilst development may commence on these features in any particular quarter, this does not mean it will be delivered and available to all users in that same time period.

All new features will still be subjected to the usual VeVe feature rollout process, so please keep an eye on our socials for the latest details.

Moreover, now that OMI utilities are back on the VeVe menu we will also return to our regular cadence of crypto-focused content over the coming weeks and months on the ECOMI blog and socials.

This is for education about, and awareness of, the OMI token and the digital asset industry in general. It is our aim to provide token holders and VeVe collectors with the knowledge and skills that they need to take advantage of OMI features when they are live in the app, and to make sure everyone can stay safe and enjoy this rapidly evolving industry.

Information on this channel is for educational purposes only. It should not be considered financial advice; all users are advised to do their research. See disclaimer.
