Secure Wallet Update: Request Invoices in Crypto!

Over the past 2 months, the Secure Wallet and ECOMI app have seen some fantastic updates. From the integration of NFT’s to the ability to import your seed phrases from other wallets, as well as ERC20 tokens, our very own OMI token and the ability to convert your crypto from within the app itself, and this cold storage device has quickly become one of the best choices on the market. Now, with the pending update (version 2.9.0) you’ll be able to send invoices and receive payments in crypto, directly from the Secure Wallet!

Invoicing Made Simple with ECOMI

Upon the release of the next ECOMI app update, you’ll be able to request payments in the cryptocurrency of your choice, provided it is supported by ECOMI. The integration of this feature is making way for the future (and present) world of digital currencies and finance and auto-generates an email template with your public address. In this way, you are able to quickly and efficiently be paid in crypto, and for that payment to be instantly secured offline and in cold storage on the Secure Wallet.

How Does It Work?

First and foremost, you need the ECOMI Secure Wallet, at least until the hot wallet feature is activated. Then, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the wallet for the currency you wish to receive. In the example images below we’ve selected Bitcoin.
  2. Hit ‘receive’ as indicated by the red circle in the image below (left).
  3. Scroll down, and you will now see the new option to ‘request.’
    Tap it.
  4. Enter the required information in the pop-up box.
-The ‘from’ is your name/your company
-The amount is the amount you wish to request/receive
-There is also an option to add a note or additional information to the request
  5. Hit confirm and you will be redirected to your mail app.
Depending on the configuration of your phone and your mail app/client, you will either be taken directly to your mailbox or may have to select your preferred mailbox.
Requesting invoices is simple, intuitive and safe with the ECOMI app and the Secure Wallet

The ECOMI app automatically generates an invoice request with your wallet address, which you can see in the image below (right). You can also see that it will pre-fill with the note you added, as well as the requested amount.

From here, all you need to do is add the email address of the person you are sending it to, and hit send!

The most recent version of the app is expected to be available in the coming days, and as always we suggest keeping your app up to date to take advantage of the latest features and security measures.

The development doesn’t stop here, however! In the next update, we’ll be adding new token support to the Secure Wallet, including:

  • Mainnet token support for Binance (BNB)
  • USDT stable coin

Future releases will also add support for ZEN and ICX mainnet tokens.

We’ll also be releasing some instructions to help you swap from the ERC20 version of BNB and ICX (if you haven’t already) to ensure your tokens stay as up to date as your wallet.
