1centx.com (1cent Exchange) is a community-owned free marketplace. Different from eBay and Amazon, a cooperative eCommerce platform puts members’ shopping or selling experiences first, not return on investment.
Where does the idea come from?
1centx.com was founded by Fred Shu in early 2019, after 12 years of selling laptop repair parts on eBay. Fred believes a better marketplace should be free, fair, and connected.
What are the fundamental differences between 1centx and eBay?
1. 1centx is Free: no listing fees and no final value fees. Sellers and buyers are encouraged to communicate directly.
2. 1centx is owned and governed by the community with one person one vote, to protect the interest of the community.
3. 1centx is also a parts wiki, users can search parts compatibility database for free.
