With great pleasure, Econia Labs is excited to introduce Baptswap to the Econia ecosystem with the recent launch of its new order book-based trading terminal. We’re thrilled to walk you through the features of the Baptswap platform, including the Econia-powered trading terminal, in this article.

Overview

Baptswap made a name for itself within the Aptos ecosystem by being the first Aptos decentralized exchange to introduce EVM-like features for token generation and trading using their platform, such as:

  • Token-Based Fee Mechanism — Individualized Fee Control: Fees are pre-determined and specified by the contract. Once in place, every time the token is swapped or traded, a fee is charged and distributed by a flexible pre-determined distribution model.

Customizable Fee Distribution — Fee distribution models can be crafted in some of the following ways:

  • Rewards: Token holders can receive fee distribution by staking their tokens. If the trading pair is based in APT, a dual reward can be issued to stakers as well.
  • Bolstering AMM Pool Liquidity: Fees from token trading accrue to the LP pool to further enhance the trading pairs liquidity profile, reducing slippage for all future trades.
  • Distribution models: Flexible by design to meet the evolving needs of the team and project.

The Baptswap Trading Terminal — Powered by Econia

Although Baptswap is an AMM decentralized exchange at its heart. It has decided to further its product suite by leveraging the Econia order book and its existing liquidity, in addition to leveraging the Econia Labs reference frontend for easy and simple development. Baptswap users now have access to a premium trading interface featuring:

  • Limit order placement and execution
  • Market order execution
  • Access to some of the most competitive pricing in the Aptos DeFi ecosystem
