We’re launching this blog as a tool to keep advertisers, agencies, and the media industry in general up-to-date with the latest developments at The Economist Group from a commercial perspective.
That means we will be sharing our team’s perspectives on the continuing evolution of the media industry, insights into advertisers that we think are doing a particularly great job of building engagement with their audiences, and more general updates on news from The Economist Group.
The Economist was founded in 1843 to take part in a ‘severe contest between intelligence, which presses forward, and an unworthy, timid ignorance obstructing our progress’. In our own small way, we would like to start a ‘severe contest’ of ideas around marketing and communications. We hope you will join us in the debate.
