What the Hell is Technology & Hair?

On occasion, I’ll get this question.

Today’s technology, that odd beast of messy software and hardened silicon, has no hair. In fact, if it did have hair, we would be fully chagrined, worried about its messy future even more than we are already. (The closest a company ever came to creating a piece of human-like technology was Microsoft’s Zune, which was brown. It took only a few short weeks to slide down the bowl of entertainment history.)

Yes, technology and hair have nothing almost* to do with each other, which explains the category.

*In rebuttal, it could be said that the dead accretion of bytes and wires on the surface of our planet is much like the strands of semi-protective grown on the surface of living organisms.
