Are Bitcoins Part of the great disruption ?

I first learnt about Bitcoins a few years ago, while watching the movie “The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin” while on a plane trip back from Sri Lanka. I was fascinated but it was only while visiting Launceston or Lonnie a few days ago, that we saw a bitcoin ATM for the first time. The process appears fairly simple. You download an app, find an ATM, which generates a QR code that you use to send or receive money.
