On March 28, 2022, Daya Selaras Group and Ecoxyztem Venture Builder jointly launched the “Climate Tech Hub” in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is Indonesia's first climate innovation center, providing a collaborative network for climate-tech actors. The soft launch event took place at the ECO-S Coworking & Office Space Sahid Sudirman Residence, Jakarta, together with the iftar.

At the event, the Climate Tech Hub was introduced as a medium for strategic networking among environmental and sustainability stakeholders. The event, called Speed Mixing for Sustainability (SMS), was attended by participants from climate-tech startups, venture capital, multinational companies, representatives of foreign embassies, and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) who were invited to get to know each other and explore opportunities for collaboration.

Cynthia Wijaya, the VP of Business Development and Investor Relations of Daya Selaras Group mentioned in her speech that the Climate Tech Hub aims to become a platform for all climate-tech stakeholders to facilitate them in a supportive work environment, collaboration network, media support, and digital tools so that ecopreneurs can be more productive. The mission of the Climate Tech Hub is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal number 17 (Partnerships for Goals).

The Climate Tech Hub is located within the ECO-S Coworking & Office Space and includes private offices, communal areas, and meeting rooms. They plan to set up a podcast room for the #BridgingEcopreneurs campaign in the future. The total area of ECO-S is about 2,200 square meters, with 300 square meters of outdoor space. This collaboration will facilitate more cross-institutional activities in this area. By establishing the Climate Tech Hub, Ecoxyztem is demonstrating its commitment to driving climate innovation and providing a platform for all types of collaboration.

Founder of Ecoxyztem, Bijaksana Junerosano, presented in front of the Climate Tech Stakeholders

“It has been our dream since the beginning to gather all green startups or what we usually call ‘ecopreneurs’ and bring them together with all stakeholders who can accelerate their business growth in Indonesia. The faster pace of environmental damage will become impossible to deal with if we walk alone. Therefore, we feel very fortunate to be able to meet and synergize with Daya Selaras Group and together we will continue to grow this Climate Tech Hub in order to achieve the Enhanced National Determined Contribution (ENDC) target in 2030.”, said Bijaksana Junerosano, Founder of Ecoxyztem.

The collaboration between Ecoxyztem and Daya Selaras Group is strengthening the climate-tech network in Indonesia, with 60 startups established throughout the country. Daya Selaras Group has expertise in the recycling industry, particularly in the paper supply chain, forming a circular system that benefits the environment. The Climate Tech Hub in downtown Jakarta is expected to become a hub for accelerating change and a meeting place for innovative startups and industry players. With the support of the activation program, coaching, and site facilities, the Climate Tech Hub will help to “bridge ecopreneurs” towards the government’s national targets, according to Cynthia Wijaya, the VP of Business Development and Investor Relations of Daya Selaras Group.
