We had the pleasure to meet Jane Seigel who is a Librairian for Rare Books at the Columbia University Library. We met Jane in a room of the library where she had prepared a display of a selection of rare ancient books. The various books all had something to say about typography wether it was in the printing method, the type design itself or typography’s historic figures. We were all blown away and deeply interested in what we saw which made this moment very significant in the course of our stay in NYC. The best part of this overview was to feel Jane’s communicative passion for books. She never failed to go into the most intricate of details for every piece of the selection, ranging from a book’s making to the specificities of its content.

Thanks again Jane for your kindness and cheerfulness!
