Hello and welcome back to ED92’s Disneyland Paris Rewind, where we recap the biggest stories we covered on Twitter in the past week… or so ;) As the parks get ready for the 25th, a lot of small but important changes are taking place, so we’re calling this Rewind: Upgrades !

Restaurant Upgrades

Plaza Gardens Restaurant reopened last week-end. Not quite the ‘new concept’ we were promised but the overall dining room was refreshed with new carpeting, seats, place mats, and additions to the menus like roasted meats and a chocolate fountain:

Over in Frontierland, Fuente del Oro Restaurant reopened with a freshly painted exterior and cleaned up interior:

In Adventureland, Hakuna Matata Restaurant also upgraded, to sleek flat screen menus over the counters:

App Upgrade

After many years of guests complaining about a sub-par app, Disneyland Paris finally listened and upgraded the official app. It is modeled after the fantastic Disneyland Resort app and includes everything you need for your visit from hours, to wait times and restaurant information. Sadly not all features are active yet, such as online restaurant reservations or ticket purchase. It is available on Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.

Newport Bay Club Hotel Upgrade

Over at the Newport Bay Club hotel, refurbishing continues on the inside while the outside is temporarily stopped. This week we showed you exclusively inside the brand new Compass Lounge, opening early December for guests staying in a Compass Club room:

Nearby, we also noticed the pool building and some of the hotel buildings had been upgraded to LED popcorn lights. They look great and this might be a sign of things to come around the resort:

Wifi Upgrade

This upgrade will take a little time.. as we learned that the current plan is for resort wide wifi to be tested in May 2016 for a rollout during the summer. Of course plans often change at Disneyland Paris so let’s hope this one stays on track, as this is wonderful news for all guests, but especially international travelers.

Main Street Station Upgrade

Main Street Station continues to completely disappear under scaffolding as part of its lengthy refurbishment. It should soon be covered in themed tarps once the scaffolding is complete. Works are expected to last until June 2016:

Fantasia Fountain

Over at Walt Disney Studios, the Fantasia Fountain on Place des Freres Lumiere cane out from behind walls, looking shiny !

And a few Downgrades….

Not everything was an upgrade these past few weeks: we noticed locks left behind by guests on the Castle railing, which is totally unacceptable. They have thankfully been removed after several days.

Over in Frontierland, the Mark Twain is back out in full view since the Molly Brown took its place in dry dock for refurbishment. Always a sad sight !

And funny hiccups for the Wait Times sign in Discoveryland.. Oops !

Disneyland Paris Boutique

We also showed the first pictures of the new Disneyland Paris Boutique to open soon at Paris CDG Airport Terminal 2A — a great idea !

Halloween

We could not leave you without a couple fun pictures from the Halloween Season, currently running at full steam in Disneyland Park ! Check our last Rewind for all the pictures of the festivities and infos, we’ll add here these very fun pictures of Jack Skellington — who made a new pumpkin friend in Frontierland !

That’ll do it for this Rewind ! Plenty of good things coming our way at Disneyland Paris. Enjoy your time in the parks if you’re lucky enough to visit soon, and see you next week for a new Rewind !
