For me, character-based leadership and servant leadership starts in the home. I can’t consider myself to be a trustworthy, holistic leader to my team at BuzzShift and to the nonprofits I serve, if my biggest responsibilities in life — the growth of my marriage, and the training and development of my kids — are both train wrecks.

Thankfully, I recently had the opportunity to sit in on the inaugural DadU podcast for Watermark Church’s Family Ministry. The conversation centered around how we parent our kids through our marriage relationship. Rach and I certainly don’t have it all figured out, but it was inspiring and insightful to sit alongside some friends who have walked, or are walking on, the same parenting path we are.
