What does Edge Analytics do?
Edge Analytics was born out of a simple desire to work with our friends and do things together that make a positive difference in the world. We are a team of ~10 data scientists with engineering backgrounds that helps companies commercialize technologies into products.
Some of the products we are building!
Some of the highlights of our work this past year include:
- Human Augmentation Product with Innovative Startup
We had a great year with one of our longest partners, Cionic, a startup on a mission to help people transcend physical limitations. Cionic came out of stealth this year and has launched a blog, instagram, and podcast. Lina wrote a post about predictive algorithms and Cherry wrote one on scientific validation! - Authentication Algorithm for Luxury Items
We worked with Origyn, a startup that authenticates luxury items, especially watches, using computer vision. We developed a custom machine learning solution to Origyn’s problem and they went on to successfully raise their Series A using our approach. Read more about Origyn and their technology in the NYTimes! - Consumer Product with Fortune 500 Company
We partnered with a multinational, Fortune 500 company to build algorithms for a new consumer product. The product is scheduled to go into mass manufacturing and we can’t wait to see people using this product all around the world! - Reducing Readmission Rates with a Healthcare Startup
We partnered with an innovative startup that helps skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) reduce their hospital readmission rates by building predictive models on EHR data. Based on our work, the startup raised more money and closed 3 paying customers. - Machine Learning to Accelerate Drug Discovery
We partnered with a Fortune 100 company to develop machine learning algorithms to accelerate drug discovery. We are excited to be working at the intersection of machine learning and genetic engineering!
We worked with several more companies this year on programs ranging from computer vision to natural language processing, from time-series to probabilistic modeling, and from TPU clusters to low-power microcontrollers.
We can’t wait to see what cool problems 2021 will have in store!
