The American Empire Will Fall
But the legacy of American citizens could echo in eternity.
Someday, America will fall. It won’t be fireworks and parades, but it will happen. Could be ten years. Could be two hundred. Doesn’t matter. It’s guaranteed. Every nation falls. Every government rots from within, corroded by greed, power, arrogance, and denial. Thinking the U.S. will escape this fate is about as naive as thinking you can live forever by eating kale and avoiding plastic straws.
That sounds grim. It is grim. But it’s also reality — and it’s one we need to come to terms with instead of clinging to comforting myths. The United States, like every empire before it, will collapse. Rome did. Britain did. The Soviet Union did. Hell, even the Mongols ran out of road eventually. America is no different, no matter how many bald eagles we slap on T-shirts.
But here’s the kicker: that’s not the end of the game. America is a finite game — humanity is an infinite one. Our real loyalty shouldn’t be to lines on a map or a political system built on centuries of exploitation. It should be to the species itself. If we focus on playing the infinite game — ensuring humanity’s survival, dignity, and ability to evolve — we might just stretch America’s shelf life a little bit longer while we’re at it.
