There’s something profoundly sinister lurking behind the buzzwords and talking points about RFK Jr.’s autism registry proposal. It’s not about research. It’s not about support. It’s about control — and most people haven’t even caught on yet. Autism isn’t some new frontier needing a registry. Universities, nonprofits, and major medical institutions already study autism extensively. If this were truly about understanding the condition, they’d be boosting existing efforts, not creating a centralized list of autistic individuals.

But they didn’t go after something obvious, like Down’s Syndrome, which would have triggered massive, immediate public outrage. Nor did they choose alcoholism, which, despite its social devastation, is widely recognized as an environmental and behavioral issue. No, they picked autism — a condition so deeply misunderstood by the general public that it provides the perfect test case for quietly gathering personal, protected health information without raising widespread alarms.

It’s a grim sleight of hand: target a misunderstood group to gauge how far the government can push invasive data collection under the guise of public good…
