Well, I finally cracked and moved my less formal writing on technology, society, and the future, over to substack.
To be honest, I’ve missed writing a focused blog. I started blogging way back in 2007 when I was at the sharp end of research and action around the responsible development and use of nanotechnology. Since then I’ve always had a strong focus on translating my academic work to broader audiences through my writing, but as I’ve written for more and more platforms and outlets, things have become a little disconnected.
The new blog — The Future of being Human — allows me to focus back down on thinking aloud about some of the most transformative and challenging trends in technology innovation, and how they potential affect our lives and those of others.
It draws on over 20 years of working at the cutting edge of technology innovation and exploring the potential risks as well as the benefits.
And of course, it’s driven by compelling questions around what all of this means for the future of who we are — as individuals as well as a species.
