Two excellent developers for Edgecoin
Edgecoin is proud to announce and welcome two new team members Dr. Igor Katin and Dr. Joana Katina on board.
Dr. Igor Katin joins Edgecoin as a senior software developer. He has a Ph.D. degree in Informatics Engineering and brings with him over ten years of experience in the computer software industry and development. Furthermore, Igor is a brilliant academic at the Vilnius University, where he has served as an assistant professor for many years. He is an IT expert with in-depth knowledge of software architecture and data structures as well as data mining and, big data. He will be working closely together with Aleksej Melman on implementing new technologies and sophisticated data models into our product and support him with the backend architectural design.
Igor’s vast experience and industry knowledge have already made him an essential addition to the Edgecoin family. We view his appointment as a sign of our commitment to being the leading company in our industry. Our innovations and the increasing demand from our customers led us to look for an addition to our team who will fit in with our ethos of innovation and exceptional service, and it is very fortunate that we were able to find someone of Igor’s caliber to fulfill this role.

Dr. Joana Katina joins Edgecoin as a senior frontend developer. She comes with a wealth of experience within the industry, having spent the last years at the Vilnius University in Computer Science where she has also worked as an assistant professor. She is an expert in data structures and algorithms, computer architecture and web development. Joining in advance of the launch of our new products, Joana can help us to achieve our goal to build the technology that will revolutionize the education industry as a whole.

Finally, we have an answer and good news for you: DEX! What does it mean?
DEX is an abbreviation for decentralized exchange. A decentralized exchange is an exchange that occurs trades directly between users (peer to peer) through an automated process. It means DEX does not rely on a third-party service to hold the customer’s funds.
The most obvious benefit ofusing a decentralized exchange is the independence it provides. You hold all your funds in your wallet and not by a third party. You are not required to disclose your details to anyone, except if the exchange method involves bank transfers (in which case your identity is revealed only to the peer that is selling or buying from you).
For the beginning we have decided to get listed on the following three exchanges where you can easily buy and sell Edgecoin (EDUX):
- EtherDelta is a decentralized trading platform that lets you trade Ether and Ethereum-based tokens directly with other users. You are responsible for your account, funds, and private keys.
- ForkDelta is a decentralized Ethereum Token Exchange with the most ERC20 listings of any exchange.

DEXs request using MetaMask or a connected hard wallet (Trezor or Ledger wallet). MetaMask a digital wallet in your Chrome browser (Add-on). Setting up Metamask is very easy. All you need to do is visit the Google Play Store, search Metamask in the search engine, and add it as an extension on your browser. That’s all! MetaMask enables all its interested users to access and participate in EtherDelta directly from the wallet. There is no need to deposit or withdraw funds on the exchange, but rather the website communicates with the MetaMask extension.
For more security we recommend you to use a hardware wallet (Trezor for example) as it offers excellent protection as well as you can even use it for your day to day transactions.
