Senior Data Scientist

Epopcon provides a data management platform for world class corporations such as CJ, LG U+, LF, IRI and Nilson. It also has collected a diverse set of data related to user payment data that powers various data products.

As a data scientist, you are responsible for building various machine learning models and data infrastructures by leveraging Epopcon’s rich data and state-of-the-art machine learning infrastructure to accelerate the growth of our business. You will work closely with a strong team of data engineers and fellow data scientists focusing to how to evaluate optimal approaches and solutions, build features, ML models, and refine key metrics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience developing machine learning models at scale from inception to business impact.
• Experience developing machine learning models at scale from inception to business impact. Leadership opportunities also available.
• Proven ability to tailor machine learning solutions to business problems in a cross functional team.
• Understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinning, such as classification, optimization, deep learning, and natural language processing.
• Strong programming skill (Python or R preferred).
• Experience productionizing machine learning model is a plus.
• Experience in NLP is a plus.
• Experience in Deep Learning is a plus.

Must have:

• Fluent in Korean
• Experience in data analysis and visualization
• Proven ability to succeed in both collaborative and independent work environments
• Familiarity with SQL or other querying language
• 4+ years of applicable industry experience.
