How Artists Are Boosting Their Music Careers on TikTok

TikTok has become an essential platform for musicians looking to reach new fans and grow their careers. Recently, the popular social media app launched several promotional tools exclusively for music artists under a new “Artist Account” program.

These new features give bands and solo acts more ways to showcase their talents and connect with followers on TikTok. As Paul Hourican, Head of Music Partnerships & Programming, explained — the goal is to “further empower artists by providing them with the tools they need to reach new heights on TikTok.”

Some helpful options artists now have access to include an identifying “artist tag” that lets users know they’re a music creator. There’s also a dedicated “music tab” where artists can organize and display their full discography. This makes it easier for fans to discover an artist’s complete body of work directly within the TikTok ecosystem.
