Pop music fans were in disbelief and very pleased that Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars had teamed up and released an overnight collaboration. The megastars quietly joined forces for a new single called “Die With a Smile” along with its music video premiere on Friday evening.

Very little was known to fans about the project except for the vague hints left by Gaga herself on social media. She replaced her profile picture with the single artwork that depicted her and Mars in matching retro outfits, captioning it with a cryptic message: “WHILE YOU WAIT TILL LG7”, referring to her next solo album.

A few days back, some eagle-eyed fans spotted Gaga sitting at her piano with a t-shirt on featuring Mars. Her emoji replies to one of his Instagram posts merely threw more fuel into the fire of speculation about a collaboration.

Though Gaga enthusiasts are getting closer to the promise of her seventh studio release, they won’t have to wait too long, as she is still dropping fragments and pieces of updates on social media. It only surged in interest when she gave fans in Paris a taste of two songs during her opening performance for the 2024 Olympics. With Gaga and Mars joining creative forces, “Die With a Smile” looks to stake its claim on the last months of summer.
