Doh, in all the excitement of Christmas I forgot to cross-post this one. For the regulars (🤣), copied below!

Our final blog of 2023 and it’s been another busy week! Here’s what been happening.

  • Device Pilot Great to see some good progress being made in the Device Pilot project, notably in securing the procurement/ loan of devices as well as the process and logistics planning.
  • Enterprise Service Management Tool We are continuing to push hard to mobilise this project and this week saw Gateway approval at TS Investment Board to continue the momentum. Also, lots of work going into the specification documentation and preparation of the business case and CMA.
  • Outsourcing Payroll TSLT considered how TS can best support this critical project to succeed (not that we have a vested interest… 😉). There will be further detailed work for us to do around meeting ECC needs, and those of the possible providers. We’ll be picking this up again in the New Year.
  • InfoLink kicked off with our digital supplier Invuse who will build a new front-end site for the service including user journeys across public and secure content. This work supports the decommissioning of SharePoint as part of the cloud migration programme.
  • TSIB received updates on the End User Device pilot and the Total Facilities Management programme. Gateway 1 reports for Enterprise Service Management Project and M365 were both supported by TSIB to progress through to the next stage. A real focus for us will be to fully understand and ensure that we have budget for any ongoing operating costs from our projects. TSIB also discussed the tension that can exist between the application of the public procurement regulations in Essex, and how we deliver value and great outcomes.
  • TSLT spent a bit of time this week reviewing our meetings and agreed on a few changes that we will implement in the new year. In the spirit of working in the open we agreed that future TSLT agendas and papers will be accessible to everyone in #TeamTechServices
  • Roadmap blogging A few of us got together this week to talk about a Technology Roadmap blog. We want to share the great work to create a roadmap, how it’s changing the way we do things, and what we are learning. We aim to publish the article to coincide with the publication of the roadmap. We also hope that it will be the first of many articles on the roadmap work. For the eagle eyed, you may have spotted a new folder for drafting blog ideas and ideas are very welcome.
  • TS Celebration It was good to see so many of you on the call earlier in the week to celebrate our successes and show our appreciation of each other Great Quiz too!

We will be taking a week off from writing the blog next week and will return with renewed energy in the new year.

If you haven’t yet completed the Christmas Retro form, we really want to hear from you so please take a few minutes to answer 3 short questions about 2023.

And finally, a massive thanks for all your hard work and a huge well done for all that we have achieved this year. Wishing you all a happy Christmas and merry New Year!
