OneForte is an online marketplace for knowledge. We allow users to sign up and share their knowledge and skills with others. If you are looking to learn something new or need help with a school assignment, OneForte experts can help you learn in a question and answer session, using video chat, in short 15–60 minute sessions.

What was the vision behind OneForte?

The vision is to create a platform that people seek to obtain knowledge from experts in their related field.

What were the biggest challenges you faced during OneForte’s development?

The biggest challenge is finding the right balance to attract experts and learners alike.

What are the plans for your target market and other market as well?

Our initial market will be limited in education, professional services — accounting, legal, etc. You can not be all things to all people. As we fill in our current categories, we will broaden our reach.

What are your views on the education market. Any suggestions or tips for EdTech entrepreneurs?

Tips include doing sufficient research on the market prior to beginning a venture, to ensure their is a need. Typically, the education market is slow to change and accept change. So, an entrepreneur needs to do their research prior to launching an idea.

What is the one lesson in your life as an entrepreneur that you would love to share?

Starting a business isn’t easy. Be sure you are prepared for the ups and downs when starting a business.
