Have you ever set some goals, only to slam headfirst into ‘real life’?

Or found yourself in a messy paradox, where what you want gets throttled down by doing exactly that thing?

(Yeah, maybe read that again)

I’ve been experiencing both lately, especially as a writer, educator, and participant in “The Creator Economy”.

About two and a half years ago I walked away from a decade-plus career in the public sector. It was a decision brewing for awhile, much discussed in our household (which includes three teens), yet not backed by safety nets or financial runways.

It was a cold turkey departure.

Yet, here I am almost 30 months later well embedded in being the CEO of my own time and energy — a far more authentic existence. But then a hiccup…

Leaving ‘The Office’ (For Good)

When I left Monday to Friday employment, one of the commitments I made was to do far more bicycling. Over the past two years, I’ve been building up my stamina and endurance (physically and mentally).
