As educators, we’re constantly creating content for our students, but when it comes to sharing our knowledge with a broader audience, we often find ourselves stuck. The challenge? Finding time to create engaging content while juggling our teaching responsibilities.

I’ve been recovering from a respiratory infection — something that seems to hit me every semester. Despite this setback, I managed to complete a couple of keynotes and keep up with my Substack. How? By applying this very principle of double-dipping.

I took a concept I was teaching in class — the importance of structure in writing — and turned it into engaging content for a broader audience.

Not only did this save me time, but it also allowed me to refine my ideas and present them in a fresh way.

A Simple Solution: Double-Dipping

What if I told you that you could create compelling content for your online presence using the same material you’re already preparing for your classes?

Here is a template that I’ve been talking about in my keynotes and on my Substack. It is a template we developed in my class while exploring structure in professional writing!
