Check out this amazing website, BrainPOP, for kids. Keep reading my BrainPOP review educational resource article to discover more. Also, my website: www.edugameshop.com has a lot more online educational reviews about games and books (K-8). Most parents and teachers know about BrainPOP for its animated movies to add to the curriculum. However, you can learn about all the other key components. For example, activities, games, and lesson plans are within this learning platform. Also, there are other sites that are a part of the main BrainPOP site. Such as, BrainPOP Jr. (K-3), BrainPOP ELL, BrainPOP Educator, GameUp, and the BrainPOP apps. Therefore, I highly recommend this engaging educational resource.

BrainPOP Review: Grades 4 and up

In the main website, BrainPOP, it is for grades 4 and up. Curious minds will love to explore all the features. In addition, you can boost curriculum by adding animated videos to your lesson plans. Then, the BrainPOP material will connect to specific subject based content. The subjects are: math, science, English, social studies, health, arts & music, and engineering & tech. For example, you can use a BrainPOP video at the start of your lesson to encourage student engagement. Then, you can use the recommended activities, games, quizzes, and more that follow up after the chosen video. Therefore, any teacher or parent can turn a lesson into an interactive one by using this learning platform. The BrainPOP site offers a free version, but the paid version will give access to more content and add on features. Check out the BrainPOP website to know more.

In addition, you can find lots of STEM based activities to incorporate into your curriculum. Also, check out the following school subjects listed on the BrainPOP Jr. website. They are as follows: Social Studies, Health, Science, Math, Reading & Writing, and Arts & Technology. Then, if your child’s school subscribes to the paid version of BrainPOP Jr. you can access his or her account at home. Go to this link: BrainPOP At Home to learn more. Overall, I recommend the BrainPOP Jr. website because it provides an extension to any child’s learning experience. Also, as an educator, I used the BrainPOP websites all the time to supplement my lesson plans.
