Myth: Campus tours are all canceled.

Reality: Yes, most universities have canceled their campus and admitted students’ tours due to health & safety regulations; however many institutions are holding virtual tours for students. Make sure you get in contact with the admissions office of the university you would like to tour. YouVisit.com is also a good alternative to campus tours that allows you to search for institutions in the US and provides a virtual, interactive, 360-view tour of different universities.

Myth: Student visas are not being issued.

Reality: Universities are still welcoming international students and issuing student visas, although processing time could take longer than usual. Make sure to look up if there are any regulations and/or restrictions placed for your specific region to the country you wish to attend university in by contacting the university’s international student office and the country-specific embassy

Myth: You don’t have to submit your standardized test scores.

Reality: While it is true that a lot of universities are test-optional (meaning the students can choose whether or not they submit their test scores), a good test score will give you an extra advantage over other applicants and boost your application to the admissions team
