It was an intense quarter, full of significant progresses for EFFORCE.
In a delicate and unpredictable historical moment, finding concrete solutions for reducing energy consumption is no longer an ambitious business vision, but confirms itself as a global need.
Our team of developers worked responsibly on EFFORCE’s innovative technology model, based on the revolutionary tokenization of savings generated by Energy Efficiency projects.
We launched the alpha version of the EFFORCE Platform, allowing the first trailblazer companies to record the savings generated by energy efficiency projects on a public Blockchain.
To do this, we also strategically chose the food sector, developing a pilot project in the fruit and vegetable market, to create a scalable model of efficiency for retail outlets.
This choice is driven not only by the undoubted economic potential, but also by the real increase in energy needs that this global industry is facing and will continue to face.
The energy efficiency intervention was based on the development of solutions based on the use of nanomaterials to increase the quality of the working spaces, the well-being of people and the protection and preservation of goods.
These solutions are used in:
- Treatment of building surfaces and envelopes
- Treatment of air in indoor environments
- Food storage
- Water treatment
The project involves the creation of an air control device installed directly in the sales area of the products through a system of hoods that filter the air and, consequently, breaks down ethylene.
Subsequently, the department will be equipped with a night compartmentalization system so that the treatment focuses, at the same time, on the air that affects the preservation of the products.
This will avoid the logistical moving of products, which remain exposed in storage cells and thus resulting in significant improvement of efficiency in organizational terms.
The project is generating the following results in terms of effectiveness and safety
- Elimination of ethylene, bacteria, mold and micro toxins contained in the air and indirectly on surfaces
- Reduced required maintenance
- No use of chemicals
- No UV beam comes out of the device
- No decomposition rejection
- Only an infinitesimal CO2 emission
Savings are being generated in:
- Hours of staff’s work for the evening withdrawal of some fruit and vegetables
- Average time, estimated at 20 minutes per 100 m2 of department
- Revenue losses on products thrown out because of excessive ripening that can be calculated in about 15% of the total eliminated
- Average incidence of products thrown from 3 to 5% on an average fruit and vegetable sales value of around 5,000 euros/m2
Thanks to the transparency and security of the data obtained with the innovative EFFORCE platform, the first budget exceeded all expectations, generating an EBITDA forecast of 47%.
The securitization of savings has become a reality!
Now more than ever we are convinced that EFFORCE’s Energy Performance Smart Contract (EPSC) will revolutionise the energy industry, accelerating the development of global energy efficiency projects, creating the new technological standard that will give access to million investors to this market from 584BL.
Last but not least, the signing of the strategic partnership with Digital Cash has allowed to accelerate the setup of the EFFORCE pipeline for the development of projects in the aviation and food sectors.
