This a land registry proof of concept created by the Apla team for the government of the Andhra Pradesh State of India.

The application ensures the input, verification and display of data about land ownership, as well as land selling and purchasing operations.

When a new record about a land plot is made to the database, the system prompts the user to indicate the land’s location on a map, along with the property type, government level for territorial administration, usage, and building classes on the plot.

Data about new plots of land are checked by representatives of legal and financial departments, which receive notifications. Following confirmation of the objects legal status and the absence of encumbrances, it is displayed in the registry.

After the owner sets a price for the plot, it becomes available for purchase.

By heading over to the plot’s page, a buyer can make a purchase request to the land owner.

The owner, having received a notification of this, can accept or decline the purchase offer.

After the system verifies that the buyer has the required amount of money on their bank account, the seller can sign the sale contract, which instantaneously changes the information about land ownership in the registry.
