Eidoo doesn’t use Parity

We want to reassure you that Eidoo doesn’t use the Parity Wallet library.

This means that the bug found on the Parity Wallet library will neither affect the Eidoo multicurrency wallet nor the wallets used by Eidoo Sagl to keep our tokens and the crowdsale funds safe.

What is happening with Parity?

A few hours ago, in fact, a vulnerability in the Parity Wallet library contract of the standard multisig contract has been found, but we are not affected by this vulnerability because we use a different library.

It was possible to turn the Parity Wallet library contract into a regular multi-sig wallet and become an owner of it by calling a specific function.

It would seem that issue was triggered accidentally on Nov. 6th 2017 at 02:33:47 PM +UTC and subsequently a user suicided the library-turned-into-wallet, wiping out the library code which in turn rendered all multi-sig contracts unusable.

Eidoo is 100% Safe

Because of this bug, users that use Parity Wallet library that was deployed after July 20th have been affected, but this is not related to Eidoo.

So, no users that use Eidoo have been affected by this issue.
