We’re a team of engineers and dreamers digitizing the construction industry!

Life in the 21st century has been revolutionised by the internet and mobile computing devices, but our most basic needs (food, water and shelter) are fulfilled via transportation, irrigation and urban infrastructure, all built by the construction industry. Despite how critical the construction industry is, it hasn’t seen major improvements in efficiency in decades. We believe it is now time to bring the benefits of these transformational technologies back to this overlooked industry.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve been working on a project management product that leverages powerful technologies like the Internet-of-Things and Computer-Vision. Our hardware devices capture data from all the activity happening on-site and bring it onto our software platform, which can be used to monitor projects remotely, and manage them more efficiently.

Our plug-n-play product has already been put to the test in multiple infrastructure projects in India. We started with a small pilot with about 30 equipment-tracking devices, and are now working on a larger scale with 500 devices deployed onto a cluster of highway building projects worth several hundreds of millions of dollars. So far, the results of our early deployments have been extremely encouraging, and we hope to provide even more value to our customers as we add more advanced analytics into our product.

Our development team of 25 engineers is currently based in Hyderabad, India, but we have our corporate headquarters in California, with global aspirations. This year, we hope to launch our product in the Indian market, as well as make a foray into the US market with select early-adopters.

In a couple of years, we hope to be a globally recognised technology product company serving a wide range of construction companies, from billion dollar multinationals to sub-contractors, all while holding on to our passion for innovation and great products. Our ambitious vision is shared by our investor, KPCB Edge, the forward-looking seed investment arm of legendary Silicon Valley VC, Kleiner Perkins.

Building Einsite has already been quite an adventure, with lots of exciting and challenging developments, but I know the journey is just beginning. If you’re interested to know more, please follow this blog, visit our website, or send us an email.
