Q&A Session with EIPlatform Advisor Guilherme Muck

This Wednesday’s weekly session was held with EIP advisor, Guilherme Muck. Aside from being a skilled surgeon, Guilherme is an experienced crypto and blockchain specialist. He is based in Brazil.
Q: We know that you are a crypto enthusiast, but what do you do in your life, what is your main profession, your career and education?
A: I am an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I’ve graduated in dentistry then I had a residency and masters degree in Oral and maxillofacial surgery.
However, I have always been a Nerd. I’ve always liked computers, technology, video games, and the blockchain and crypto environment came to life for me, let’s say, to complete a part that was missing.
Q: When did you begin to be interested in blockchain and why?
A: I’ve started mining BTC in 2012 with my, at the time, 2 GeForce GTX580. I mined it for a few months, made almost 10 BTC, but sold them at 60 bucks (LOL — Stupid me).
Back in 2017 I returned to my interest in mining, and built a few mining rigs and invested in ICOs. It’s been one year now mining, working and investing.
Q: Some governments treat cryptocurrency as money, some treat it as an unregulated, speculative asset. How do you treat cryptocurrency?
Cryptocurrencies, for me, are a storage of value and because of that we can consider them as money. However, because they are decentralized and no one holds control over them, they are better than money. With crypto I can buy something directly from a supplier located in a different country without the need of converting my currency to his — so its cheaper, faster and also more secure.
Personally, I have nothing against regulating cryptos. I believe that a smart and intelligent regulation on the market will bring trust to the average investor and help in the mass adoption of cryptos over time.
Q: Generally, which projects do you think are more attractive to crypto investors and why?
A: In my personal opinion, crypto investors today are looking for some sort of passive income investments. I see a lot of people investing in projects that will provide an income over time, not only because of the appreciation of the token but also from the company results.
Also, I see a tendency to invest in companies in business fields that we have some kind of knowledge of. For instance, I invest in mining, gaming, environmental projects and exchanges.
On the EIPlatform Project
Q: What are your professional duties, as an advisor of EIPlatform project?
A: I try to bring constructive suggestions to the project. The team is very open to ideas and I try to contribute as much as can with my perspectives about the project and the market. Also, as an advisor, my role is to take the word about the project to investors. It is a hard mission, to be honest. The market is down, all red candles, so it’s even harder to find investment. On the other hand it is a very rewarding job because I have the chance to meet and network with people from all over the world.
Q: Will the EMI token always be on the blockchain of Ethereum? Or are you going to move on to your own blockchain?
A: I believe that, at least for now, EIP will keep the tokens in the Ethereum blockchain, however, I wouldn’t say that’s a definitive decision. The crypto and blockchain environment change really fast. If necessary, I don’t see a reason not to have a proprietary blockchain.
Q: I’m curious, how do people in Brazil react to Esport?
A: We have a growing esports community in Brazil. In fact, some of the major football clubs in the country — Flamengo, Corinthians, Atlético Mineiro, Palmeiras — have their own esports team. Flamengo, for instance, is playing the first division of CBLOL (League of Legends Nationals) that qualifies the winner and runner-up to the world championship. The CBLOL is also broadcast live on cable TV and Youtube! We have other championships with TV Coverage like PES and Fifa and teams for DOTA, CS:GO, Battlefield.
The market is in a massive period of growth and the biggest computer hardware stores in the country also have their esports team with sponsorships by Galax, Nvidia, HyperX, Razer and other brands.
Q: Do you like gaming yourself? What are your favorite video games?
A: Yeah! Not only me but my kids too. We play videogames together all the time.
I have played World of Warcraft for several years, I have played FIFA since 1994 and online since Fifa 2009. (I am at Division 1 of Fifa 18 on Xbox One). I also play FPS like Battlefield and Call of Duty (only campaign mode) and I am currently playing Age of Empires: Definitive Edition — a remake of the 1997 classic Age of Empires 1. My favorite video-game of all time is Super Nintendo’s Mario Kart.
Q: Back on EIPlatform, what are your personal predictions for EMI tokens after their release on currency exchanges?
A: It depends on many factors, including on which exchanges the token will be listed at. I believe the EMI token value will be around $1.00 to $1.50 in the near future. Perhaps by the first semester 2019. And with the growth of the platform and mass adoption….
Q: Is there anything you would change in the EIPlatform project?
A: I don’t want to seem fake or anything like that, but seriously, I wouldn’t change anything. The project itself is very good, the idea is brilliant and I see a lot of potential in it. You guys really did a good job!
