On the 1st of June 2020, the Global Pakistan Tech Summit was inaugurated by Syed Shibli Faraz, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting in a virtual opening session. The first-of-its-kind month-long virtual event was organized by Ejad Labs with support from 50 partner organizations.

The summit featured 258 international speakers from 30 cities across 12 countries to discuss “Rebuilding Pakistan”, with a 50% ratio of female speakers, thanks to the contribution of Pakistani Women in Computing. The speakers include notable government leaders, entrepreneurs and international tech moguls like the CIO of Estonia, CTO of Seattle, VP of Bank of America, Co-Founder EMPG / Zameen.com, Chairman Global Entrepreneurship Network and technology experts from companies like Microsoft, IBM, Electronic Arts and others.

A total of 124 virtual sessions were hosted as part of 12 tracks which reached 200k people, received 100k viewers across different digital platforms and generated 60k social media engagements. The summit received more than 20 media mentions as well. All of the sessions can be seen in the replay section of the website.

This is a 10-year movement to ‘Rebuild Pakistan’ by bringing together the best of Pakistani startups, techies and digital leaders from around the globe. We have hosted the #PakTechSummit in Europe, Silicon Valley & now virtually; and we look forward to hosting many more throughout the world.
