Research and Inspiration

A Collaborative Journey of Creative Exploration

Our quest to revamp our branding was far from a solo mission. It was a journey that we embarked on as a team, armed with creativity, brainstorming sessions, and a shared vision. Here’s how we uncovered the concept that breathed new life into our logo and branding.

From the get-go, we knew that a successful rebranding wasn’t a one-person job. So, we rolled up our sleeves and dived into collaborative brainstorming sessions with our team. We let the creative juices flow freely, exploring various avenues to refresh our logo.

Logo Evolution

One of our first steps was to play around with the existing logo. We experimented with different iterations, sometimes tweaking the icon, and other times reimagining specific letters in the font. It was like a creative playground where we pushed the boundaries to see what felt right.

Our exploration took us into the world of geometric shapes. We focused on the ‘E’ in Ekohe, aiming to capture the essence of dynamism and unity. The circle emerged as a powerful symbol, signifying unity and cohesion. It was an exciting avenue that added depth to our logo concept.

Building on our geometric exploration, we ventured into the realm of orbits. By repurposing elements from our old logo icon, we created orbits that overlapped, resembling two moons. These orbits represented the idea of limitlessness and space, reinforcing our commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring new frontiers.

Periodic Orbits: An Organic Logic

Finally, we reached the concept of periodic orbits. It was a natural evolution of our brainstorming journey. This shape, while retaining an organic feel, was firmly rooted in logic. It became the cornerstone of our new branding, symbolizing our ability to remain grounded while continuously evolving and exploring new horizons.

We ventured through various design paths, from logo evolution to geometric shapes and orbits, until we found the organic yet logically strong concept of periodic orbits. Imagine this: We were all aboard the makeover train for our branding, but we didn’t want to shock our loyal users into a double-take. The challenge was to keep things comfortably familiar while infusing our logo and branding with a new burst of conceptual energy.

Our old logo was like that favorite, well-worn leather jacket you just can’t let go of. We cherished its cozy, organic feel. However, we decided to give the font a more standardized makeover. Here’s where the puzzle arose — how do you maintain that organic vibe without shaking the logo’s core identity?

Enter the Periodic Orbits

Now, imagine drifting through space. You can’t stay in one place; you’re always in motion. But hold on, there’s something called “periodic orbits” out there — cosmic parking spots that let you settle in one space for a while.

For us at Ekohe, it felt a lot like that. We’re constantly in motion, pushing the limits in design and tech. But amid this ceaseless motion, we needed our own cosmic parking spot in branding — something that remained steady while everything else spun around.

That’s when the concept of periodic orbits floated into our minds. These orbits became our anchor, symbolizing our capacity to remain in a particular space for an extended period — much like our unwavering commitment to cutting-edge design and technology.

Colors: Emotions and Spectrum

Now, about those colors — they’re our secret sauce. They represent the full spectrum of what we do. Just like human emotions span a spectrum, so does our work. Our colors are a vibrant kaleidoscope of ideas, akin to the tapestry of human emotions. It’s a spectrum brimming with life, much like Ekohe itself.

In a nutshell, our journey of research and inspiration was all about preserving the cozy essence of our old branding, much like that cherished leather jacket, while infusing it with new depth through the concept of periodic orbits. It’s a blend of staying grounded yet ever-evolving, just like us. And those colors? Well, they’re our way of showcasing to the world the kaleidoscope of creativity and innovation that unfolds at Ekohe every single day.

Design Elements and Visuals

Alright, let’s dive into the juicy part — the design elements and visuals that breathe life into our brand. Here’s how we brought the concept of periodic orbits and the spirit of Ekohe to life.

Barlow Font: A New Voice

We decided to jazz things up with a new font, Barlow. It’s clean, modern, and oh-so-readable. It gives our branding a fresh voice, one that’s crisp and professional but still approachable. Barlow lets our words shine without stealing the show.

Ekohe Aurora: A Cosmic Splash

Now, let’s talk about the Ekohe Aurora. This visual gem was inspired by the vastness of space but injected with the energy of popping, vibrant colors. It’s like a cosmic fireworks display that lights up our branding. The Ekohe Aurora isn’t just eye candy; it’s a reminder of our dynamic, ever-evolving nature.

Contours and Topography Textures: Mapping Our Journey

Next up, we have the Contours and Topography textures. These textures are like our treasure maps, made from the shapes of our logo icon. They represent our Ekohe Map, the intricate journey we take with our clients. From every contour to each bump, it tells the story of how we create our Ekohe World and skyline.

In essence, our design elements and visuals are a symphony of colors, fonts, and textures that encapsulate the essence of Ekohe. Our palette speaks to our diverse expertise, our font gives us a fresh voice, the Ekohe Aurora channels our boundless energy, and the Contours and Topography textures map our journey through the tech universe. It’s a visual feast that reflects who we are, what we do, and where we’re headed.
