I spoke to Freedom

I knew that Freedom was near

She always has been

She lurks like the clouds on a gloomy day

I believed not though, I doubted Freedom

No hindrance or restraint, Freedom responded

With me you’ll experience a higher quality of life.

Imprisoned in your own mind no longer, let me unbind your strife

Freedom reminded me of her presence like the heat from the sun

She was aware of my fatigue, she always has been

My mind was trapped, I’ve heard this too many times

If Freedom wants to save, why haven’t I been saved yet?

For once, something shifted, I decided to try

I opened my heart and soul and allowed Freedom in

just to know that Freedom isn’t a lie.
