If Dragons Could Exist

To soar above the sky on wings of light

To cry with a voice as loud as thunder

All bow down when they’re spotted in one’s sight

The king of beasts an inspiring wonder

Powerful and mighty, lungs filled with fire

Massive but graceful reptiles that can fly

A force of nature to truly admire

Strong enough to stop all as they come by

Monsters to some, friend to others are they

Creatures of earth, water, fire, and air

They tend to be more elusive than fey

One could try to hitch a ride if they dare

Dragons don’t exist in reality

But, if they did I’d be filled with more glee
